Kate Mikulay
FEI Rider, Trainer and Coach. USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist.
Having been in the saddle most of her life, Kate has always worked towards wanting the best for the animals around her. Starting her riding journey in eventing, she developed through the preliminary level and retrained countless horses from the racetrack on to new careers. Her education continued through summer working student positions as well as participation in the Rider Development Program with Ralph Hill.
While eventing, Kate always had a high percentage of dressage horses in her care. It was during these years that her love of the sport deepened. As opportunities with local and national clinicians continued, so did the depth of horses in her program. She has earned her Gold, Silver and Bronze medals as well as numerous other CSDEA and USDF awards, including CSDEA FEI Champion and success at various Regionals. Kate has also been invited to participate in the USEF Young Horse Championships in recent years as well as train with the head coach of their program. She has had the opportunity to enjoy coaching students at Festival of Champions, North American Youth Championship and Pony Club Festival.
Kate continues to enjoy developing horses of all levels and types, from the traditional warmbloods of our sport to a wide variety of ponies and Iberian horses. Though her focus lies with dressage, she still enjoys coaching and developing those that compete in eventing and the H/J diciplines as well.
